I absolutely love to shop, and online shopping is no exception. I’ve shopped my way through the summer, since I haven’t had any lunch dates with friends, spa days for self-care, or dinner dates with loved ones to spend my money on.
If you are anything like me, you often find yourself shopping online in search of the next knick-knack that will undoubtedly make your life easier and better. Often times, we find something that suits its purpose , every now and again it’ll be a complete waste of money, and even more rare we’ll find something that makes us wonder
“How have I been living without this my whole life!?”
This is a list of a few of those things…
September 2020 Faves
The following section contains a few affiliate links. This means that I make a small commission on any purchases made at no additional cost to you. As always, I only link products that I myself have tried and absolutely LOVE
I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a clean freak and a germaphone (and I’m not ashamed). I don’t like to clean, but I LOVE a clean house so cleaning is a necessary evil. Because of my type A personality, I’ve grown to love buying and trying out new cleaning supplies, but glass cleaner has always been my biggest frustration. Why is it so hard to get a streak-free shine on my glass tables and mirrors?? Then one day while watching Nitraa B’s Youtube channel, she raved about Sprayway Glass Cleaner and I had to try it.
It did not disappoint!
I love that it truly leaves a streak-free finish and that its a foam. This makes it so that it actually clings to the surfaces and doesn’t just run down the glass.
Origins Night-A-Mins Resurfacing Night Cream
So, I’ve already went into detail about how much I LOVE this night cream. It wasn’t until I ran out that I realized how much I need this product in my skincare routine. It’s a September fave, but truly it’s a HOLY GRAIL STAPLE!
Once again, Youtube made me buy it (Thanks Raven!) but I don’t regret it one bit. If you have little ones like me and you use rubber bands in their hair (or your own) then you know about the struggle to remove them. If you try to unravel them, then you risk getting them tangled in your hair. If you use a pair of scissors to cut the rubber band then you risk cutting your own hair.
This tool solves this issue
You simply slide the rubber band between the opening where there is a tiny blade. This tiny blade then cuts the rubber band and nothing else. The blade being nestled into the plastic tool also helps to keep it safe from little fingers and limits the amount of hair that can accidentally be cut off.
These pretty much speak for themselves. However, with the current state of the world, they are a necessity. I’ve been staying away from my gym and these “booty bands” (along with my favorite Youtube workouts) have really helped me keep the quarantine pounds in check.
I also love that these resistance bands come with several different levels of resistance to ensure that there is someone for every fitness level.
Revlon Oil Absorbing Volcanic Face Roller
This one was probably my favorite find this month. I have acne-prone, combination skin. My T-zone is seriously oily so I’ve used every mattifying primer, setting spray, oil absorbing balm, powder, and paper on the market. While some of them do actually do a decent job, I was never fully in love with anything. Some worked well under makeup but I would still get oily midday. Other products were meant to be used over makeup, but they sometimes would smudge it or left a residue if used more than once. The one “product” that I love to use (whether makeup free or full face) is blotting sheets. The only issue that I have is with the standard packaging that a lot of them have because it would often get ruined in my purse leaving the blotting papers exposed to the items in my bag (and thus unsanitary and unusable).
Then I found this bad boy!
It is made of volcanic stone and instantly absorbs any excess oil without disturbing your makeup. It also comes with a cap, helping to protect it and keep it clean while in your purse. Last but not least, it also comes apart to allow for cleaning with warm, soapy water which is absolutely necessary to stay hygienic, especially when you have acne-prone skin.
I wear my hair in a lot of buns and ponytails. Because of this, I use a lot of hair ties and my go-to are usually the Scruncii brand No Knot elastic bands. As much as I like these elastic bands, I usually wear them out pretty quickly and end up with stretched out hair ties with exposed elastic. I decided that I wanted something a little more durable and softer on my hair, even if I couldn’t get my bun as tight as I usually like it. I found these LilySilk Silk Scrunchies and they are awesome. They are 100% Silk Charmeuse, they don’t break (even with me wrapping them around my big hair several), they aren’t rough on my ends when I decide to bun, and they are affordable!
