Everyone knows when they are growing their hair that they need to eat well, drink lots of water, take vitamins, moisturize their strands, trims their ends, blah blah blah!

Unfortunately, a lot of women forget that one of the most important parts of a healthy hair journey is a health scalp.

The time when my scalp tends to be the most temperamental is when it is dirty or when it is malnourished and dry. I try to keep my scalp clean and detoxed by using a bentonite clay wash, or a shampoo brush. To keep my scalp nourished, I like to use an oil at least a few times a week. Often I will use my ayruvedic oil for nourishment. But when my scalp is really searching for moisture, nutrients, and a bit of invigoration, I like to spritz my scalp with this mixture. I also like to use this spritz whenever I am wearing a long term protective style were I can’t wash my scalp as often as I am used to. It helps to refresh my scalp between washing, or after a workout.
