My Henna hair growth recipe and ayruvedic oil recipe have garnered a few questions. I will be doing more of a Q&A post to answer some of those questions, but seeing how many are on this henna/ayruvedic hair care journey I wanted to create a post with more resources.
Below, I’ve listed some of my favorite Youtubers that make videos about henna and other ayruvedic herbs and practices. These ladies are sure to give you a wealth of information, great for those who are well seasoned and those who are newer to this ayruvedic game.

There’s absolutely no way that I can put Youtube, ayruveda, and hair growth in the same universe and not bring up Curly Proverbs. She has coined the phrase BEAST MODE hair growth and has a ton of videos with hair recipes for henna glosses, herb hair masks, and hair oils. Seriously, one of the best places to start (and finish) your ayruvedic hair journey.
If you are someone that only likes to hear something from a professional (clearly that’s not me, but I don’t knock it) then here she is! Khadija is the founder of HennaSooq, where I buy my henna and indigo powders and the quality is phenomenal. On the HennaSooq youtube channel you will find videos on how to properly mix your henna, use HennaSooq products, and other ayruvedic herbs for your desired results
I’ve been following NekiCakes since the beginning of her journey and I’ve watched her hair grow beautifully. On her channel, she details many different recipes and hair challenges to grow longer, stronger, shiny hair. From henna, to chebe, to the max hydration method, to amla masks, NekiCakes has a video for it! Truly a girl after my ayurvedic heart <3
Recipe, after recipe, after RECIPE! That’s what you’ll find on Ro MustLive’s channel. She has DIY recipes for hair masks, oils, and even leave in conditioners. Her recipes typically center around all natural ingredients and of course HAIR GROWTH!
Laila Washington- FusionofCultures
While Laila’s channel is not just a ayruveda (she also talks about self care, protective styling, and natural hair products) her channel features many ayruvedic recipes and hair practices. My first ayruvedic recipe that I tried of Laila’s was her infamous Sheabiscus recipe (the one from 8 years ago) and I’ve been hooked ever since.
